Who doesn\u2019t want whiter teeth ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can you comment on some of the trends in\u00a0cosmetic\u00a0dentistry?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u00a0Active aligners (instead of braces)<\/li><li>Teeth bleaching \u2013 not toilet bowl white<\/li><li>Digital smile design<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What do people need to know in advance if they wish to have procedures done?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Have realistic expectations of what you want<\/li><li>Be in touch with what your wants are and then be prepared to take advice from\u00a0dental\u00a0professionals <\/li><li>Know what your budget constraints are<\/li><li>Be aware of any time restrictions, e.g. an upcoming wedding<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are the costs involved\u00a0(on average)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It varies greatly, depending on the treatment plan and how far the patient is willing to go to get their perfect smile. Teeth bleaching is the only procedure excluded from medical aid reimbursement. Most other procedures are covered partially by the medical aid, provided you belong to a top scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are some of the benefits of having\u00a0cosmetic\u00a0dentistry\u00a0done?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Confidence<\/li><li>Self-esteem<\/li><li>Happiness<\/li><li>Personal, professional success \u00a0\u2013 a good 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0impression<\/li><li>Health<\/li><li>Beauty<\/li><li>Vitality<\/li><li>Youthfulness<\/li><li>Warm smile<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Any drawbacks?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>None \u2013 as long as your expectations are managed and you know exactly what you are agreeing to. Reversal is not possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What advice do you have for people wishing to have cosmetic\u00a0dentistry?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today there is simply no reason to live with a broken smile, one that is less than beautiful and appealing.
