However, that didn\u2019t stop co-founder Sarette van den Heever \u2013 it just fueled her fire!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wijn\u2019s main objective is to introduce South Africans to hard-to-find wines produced by small producers and those who really push this incredible industry forward.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wijnbar.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wijn<\/a> Tastemakers Series, which was created to allow wine lovers to journey with the Wijn team on the journey of discovery of the stories behind the makers who delight and shape our taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Women&#8217;s Month was the inspiration behind their very first edition, amply called The Woman&#8217;s Edition.&nbsp;Join them as we hear the stories behind some very inspirational women in the wine industry. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JzP6SD3GYwk\" target=\"_blank\">The first episode launched on Tuesday, 8 September 2020<\/a> \u2013 one of the sunniest, most gorgeous days this side of Spring!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt Wijn we believe in shining the light on those that move the industry we love so much, forward. From winemakers to vineologists to influencers and marketers. Wine is about so much more than just the contents of the bottle. Through the Tastemaker&#8217;s Series we hope to give wine lovers a glimpse under the cork.
