{"id":2097,"date":"2022-02-22T11:08:12","date_gmt":"2022-02-22T11:08:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atableforone.co.za\/?p=2097"},"modified":"2022-02-22T11:08:24","modified_gmt":"2022-02-22T11:08:24","slug":"recipe-nectarine-pistachio-preserve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atableforone.co.za\/index.php\/2022\/02\/22\/recipe-nectarine-pistachio-preserve\/","title":{"rendered":"Recipe:  Nectarine &#038; Pistachio Preserve"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>By Karen Hart<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Makes about 5 jars of 250g each<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1kg ripe yellow-flesh nectarines<br>3\u00be cups granulated sugar<br>Freshly squeezed juice of 2 lemons<br>\u00bd cup pistachio nuts, chopped<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Method:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, peel the nectarines<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, cut a cross with a sharp knife in the base of each nectarine.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the water is boiling, drop in the fruit, turn off the heat and leave for 3 \u2013 4 minutes.
