Situated just outside Paarl on the slopes of the Klein Drakenstein mountains, Avondale Wine Estate is well known for its range of extraordinary wines, award winning FABER restaurant and an ever-increasing range of fun and epic outdoor activities. Choose from one of six private picnic spots with breath taking views or be seated in the shade of the oak trees next to a stream. The picnic includes a picnic basket filled to the brim with delectable treats from FABER Restaurant and OCHRA Deli.

The private picnic tables are situated on the lawn with breathtaking views of the Paarl and Simonsberg Mountains or you can choose to be seated in the shade of oak trees next to a stream.

Your basket will include a freshly baked, wood-fired baguette, to be enjoyed with some delicious FABER tapenades and preserves together with a selection of local charcuterie and cheeses from Dalewood. This will be accompanied by estate-grown Darling olives and a homemade artisanal salad (Chinese cabbage, carrots, roasted almonds, raisins with an organic yogurt dressing), and an assortment of snacks sourced from the deli. Finish your meal on a sweet note with the chef’s patisserie of the day.
